What do students want most from their representative? Probably the same thing I’d want- relatability. How ‘representative’ is a candidate if you don’t share experiences with them? If you can’t have a real conversation with them? I’d argue not very. I’m running because I want to change that. I won’t just vote for whatever proposition seems best; I want to know what you really think, and how you would vote if given the chance. Whether it’s over coffee, or just walking around campus, I’d always be ready to hear what you have to say. I want to be the kind of representative you feel comfortable talking to, because that’s what real representation is.
