Whereas, it is desirous of the Student Assembly to improve the Student Assembly’s engagement with undergraduate students;
Whereas, the Ad-Hoc Revitalization Committee shall pursue the creation of: Student Assembly engagement infrastructure, a Student Assembly Canvas, Student Assembly academic credit, and finally a Student Assembly voting fair event.
Be it therefore resolved, there shall exist an “Ad-Hoc Revitalization Committee” (hereafter “the Committee”) between the date of adoption of this resolution and the conclusion of the year, absent reauthorization by the 2025 - 2026 Term of the Student Assembly;
Be it further resolved, the Committee shall be an ad-hoc committee in accordance with the Bylaws of the Student Assembly;
Be it further resolved, the Committee shall be charged with developing mechanisms to increase undergraduate student participation in Student Assembly Elections, devising plans to increase engagement between members of the Student Assembly and undergraduate students, and drafting a strategic plan with a multi-year scope to improve the Student Assembly’s visibility on campus;
Be it further resolved, the Committee shall be composed of between four and ten members, each of whom shall have one vote;
Be it further resolved, no fewer than two members of the Committee shall be voting members of the Student Assembly;
Be it further resolved, the President of the Student Assembly shall appoint and may remove members of the Committee, and shall be responsible for maintaining membership of the Committee in accordance with the provisions of this Resolution;
Be it finally resolved, the President of the Student Assembly shall appoint and may remove the Chair of the Committee.
